Caution !! Corona special conditions apply here. Today we were on Monday, October 12th. Coming from Mettmann (current index 46 and therefore not a risk area) rejected with the claim that a ban on accommodation begins at an index of 35. Here, the regulation for RP is ignored, which incidentally only applies from Tuesday. I strongly advise the campsite operator to find out more. I understand that it is difficult to keep track of things. But applying your own rules of discretion is very bold.
Very friendly operator and everything else is great. We would love to come back.
Small but nice. Very clean sanitary facilities, friendly reception. When it rains, a parking space on the front lawn is very muddy, and getting into the car cleanly is virtually impossible. Very nice starting point for hikes and bike tours.
Unfortunately we were sent away again because I wanted to take a look at the campsite during the lunch break, where no mobile home can drive in, and without a face mask. There are actually only permanent campers around the pond and otherwise there were maybe 3-4 mobile homes. Then drove to Dahn 3km away to the BΓΌttelwoog campsite and everything was great there.
Nice, quiet place. Clean sanitary facilities that are disinfected every day (Corona). Anyway, an excellent hygiene concept. Very friendly young man at the reception. Everything was great.
Exactly the right place to slow down! We were allowed to nestle in the mobile home and found it simply wonderful. And that's what I say as a camping novice! The Jacobi family is doing a great job here! Thank you very much for the lovely stay!
Very nice contact on site ... the sanitary facilities are very clean. Nice place ... also practically located on the Dahner Rundweg.
Very quiet, pleasant place Many possibilities to explore the area. The use of the pond as a bathing pond is another plus.
Very cheap, beautiful and quiet campsite. Resolute, friendly staff. The sanitary facilities are clean, but seem a bit out of date.
Nice quiet place with swimming in the pond. Large shower cubicles, clean sanitary facilities. Lighting to the plumbing could be better.
Very nice campsite with its own pond. The hiking trails are very well signposted. The restaurant has a small menu but everything is very tasty and a good selection. We will come back in any case.
After a 45 km bike tour, we were turned away on Monday, July 27th, 2020 in a particularly unfriendly way, with the reason "We do not accept children on our campsite". Even the argument that we are here with the bicycles and that we cannot simply continue to drive 10 km did not matter to the unsympathetic owner Jens-Patrick Jakobi in the sweltering heat. A request to everyone who has children or grandchildren and to everyone who thinks that children are the most important thing in our world and the future, avoid this campsite and spread this experience wherever possible. Incidentally, we did not come by without notification, but called a few days in advance and reserved a place for our tent. During this phone call it was never mentioned that children are not welcome on the campsite. From my own self this is discrimination. If we as a society allow and support such a thing, we can close our country soon.
What insolence. Still child-friendly. Where, then? They turned us away because we had children (10 months and 4 years) with us. Hostile families
Very nice place, the operating family is super nice! Great nature, for people who are looking for peace, absolutely recommendable! The lake is a dream!
The location of the place is fantastic. An absolute gem! The small town of Dahn (approx. 3 km) is very close and there you can get everything you need for everyday life.
Simply great, idyllic and quiet, very beautifully located to start cycling or hiking tours π Sanitary facilities very clean. Operators are very friendly and helpful. Anytime again ππ P.S. The pond is a nice cooling off in hot weather
After the first bad experiences with an unbelievable amount of noise in other places all night, we were more than in good hands here. This wonderful calm, which is really relaxing away from a hectic life, was really good for us! Nice and patient contacts, sanitary facilities were absolutely clean, a restaurant on site, the beautiful lake - what more could you want. And .... you dear families with children, who you may be annoyed that the place remains without children .... there are so many other places for you, just leave the somewhat older gentlemen also the right to rest, it After all, there are also hotels that don't take children ... there is sure to be a time when you will understand this. ;)) Full marks from us and: keep it up!
Rude to children of 12 years old. The place is not so good. Better the place BΓΌttelwoog is just as quiet here. Operator very friendly helpful and space very idyllically located. Gladly again.
Very clean site with modern facilities and great pitches right next to the lake for a cool swim.
Lovely site. Great facilities. All spotlessly clean. Beautiful peaceful setting with bar and restaurant
Absolutely wonderful camp site, a lovely friendly welcome too. The facilities are immaculate and are underneath the main house. There's a beautiful "brown lake" to swim in with relatively easy access at various points marked by wooden stakes and solar lights if you want to swim in the dark! There is a bar next door too which is an added bonus, it also serves food be warned though it closes early at around 2100 hours.
A lovely site, the owner was very nice and friendly.a lake you could swim,a bit to cold today.
Incredible friendliness. That's the first thing that strikes you right away. The friendly welcome gives you a warm welcome right here! A perfect starting point to explore the rocky landscape around Dahn or to do the four castles tour in the border area and much more. There is enough information at reception for cyclists or hikers. First of all: I camped there one night. The site is divided into two areas: campers and campsites; although there were so many campers during the time I was there that some of them were also on the campsite. In my opinion, the sanitary area is more than adequately dimensioned. Everything was very clean and heated twice (morning and evening) even now, in July. Next to it (separate) there is another room with washing machines and dryers - included in the price (!). The pond, in which you can of course swim, is located in the area of ββthe campers. But there are four accesses to the water. A stream flows outside the campsite, where you can cool your feet after a long hike. The DB stop is called Moosbachtal. Don't worry about the noise, as the line is single-track and the two-wagon trains run very rarely. I wish everyone a lot of fun there. I will come again - definitely for longer. Dariusz
So happy to find this beautiful campsite to break up our journey. Great welcome, super clean showers and toilets (with loo paper). Lots of hot water. We had a lovely evening walk up to the rocks and castle. Refreshing morning swim to get us on our way. Bring fly repellent in June or burn some incense....lots of midges. Will definitely stop here again!
If I write as it really was, next year Germany would go there on the way and we would not have any room there so I abstain ..... πππ
Really good place on the lake, beautiful surroundings, great showers/toilets and very friendly, helpful staff. For campers who don't book in advance: the toilet block can only be opened with key you get when you check in, so if you arrive after the reception is closed you can end up like us - not having access to showers and toilets for the night
Is a beautiful camping with a small lake and gorgeous nature. We stayed 1 night only as we were placed next to restuarant and our dog was very restless.
Quiet peaceful site with immaculate toilet block. Lake to swim in and numerous walking/biking trails. Lovely wooded valley full of birdsong Bit expensive particularly with the 3 euro per night local tax. Bar/restaurant with fresh bread available daily to order.
Clean showers , very friendly and helpful. Moderate priced. No Wi-Fi.
Stunning lakeside location, connected to a wealth of walking trails around the Palatinate Forest with incredible castles. Great on-site restaurant open from early a.m until evening dinner time. Excellent shower/toilet facilities, super clean!
